As some of you are still in the "travel mode" I would like to share some recommendations with you !
First cruises. Here I have a firm that has been very efficient and in some instances substantially better priced than the cruise line who obviously wishes to cut out the "middle man" when sending their colorful brochures to past cruise clients.
The name of the agency is :Vacations to Go - and my person there is:
Saul Delgado
Master Cruise Counselor & Luxury Cruise Specialist
Vacations To Go (7 Years)
[email protected]
My office hours: Tue-Fri: 9am-6pm, Sat: 8am-5pm (US Central Time)
US and Canada: 1-800-338-4962 ext. 7333
Their webpage to check on cruises is: https://www.vacationstogo.com/
To be returned home if your health fails while away on a trip I am a member of E & A Emergency Assistance Plus: https://www.emergencyassistanceplus.com/
I joined about 10 years ago because they offer a service which sends a properly licensed and experienced driver to bring my 36 ft Motor Home back to my storage facility in Sacramento, CA from wherever I would be on the North American continent and bring my wife and me to a competent hospital including air ambulance if needed. In the interest of fair disclosure, I have never had the need to make use of this service. If you check their webpage it will inform you that they also bring you and your spouse back from anywhere in the world. My annual cost for Carlotta and I is about $ 280. Having said that I never used their actual services I suggest if interested, that you call them and inquire !
Now to old news (very old news) !
While our daily news, including the local news is full of mayhem of murder, corruption and the like the Economist published some news that is now 950 years old and deals with the Bayeux Tapestry which was created on the occasion of the Norman conquest of England and the battle of Hastings in 1066. The artwork is a colorful, ancient piece of linen roughly the length of a Boeing 747. For the first time in all these years the artwork is leaving France and is being displayed by the British Museum in London.
Both documents are attached for your reading pleasure.
We are crossing our fingers and hope and pray that the hurricane Lowell passes by the islands without damage, especially the islands of Kauai and Niihau !
Aloha nui !
