We invite you to mark your calendar for the following events we have planned for 2017:
February 27 Manoa Heritage Center * Guided Tour with Dr. Ulrich Stams, meet at 1 pm.
April 1 Kaffee Klatsch * In Kailua, at the scenic beach front home of the Allerstorfer’s. Time TBA
April 8 & 9 Film Festival "Berlin and Beyond - Honolulu". * More soon at: www.AustriansinHawaii.com/blog.
April 30 Guido Gourmet Dinner * Chef Guido Ulmann cooks for us at the Waialae Nui Recreation Center.
July 15 Pot Luck BBQ * Kaneohe Yacht Club from 4 to 7 pm.
September 7 – 10 Weltbund Convention * Salzburg, Austria. Plus, 3 days post conference hiking, dining & drinking in Maria Alm!
October 26 (Thu) Austria’s National Day Celebration * Waialae Country Club
December 8 (Fri) Christmas in Austria * Holiday celebration at the Waialae Country Club
Please note: This year we intend to organize several "impromptu" events, including hiking trips and cultural
events. These are intended for smaller groups of members and friends. Please share your email
address, so we can reach you on short notice, there will be no mail out for these events.
Stay tuned and please volunteer to help!
We urge you to recommend joining AAH to anyone who you feel may benefit from being a member. Please remember that the conditions of membership are reasonable. A prospective member needs only to be a friend of Austria and Hawai’i and promise to eat Wiener Schnitzel at least once a year but never with noodles!
We sometimes have a last minute notice of an artist or renowned speaker passing through Honolulu. For such an event, we send out an e-mail message. If you do not have e-mail Edith Runner who heads our "Telephone Tree" will call you!
Ridesharing. We will make an effort to coordinate rides for members who need them. If you are willing to give rides or need a ride, please contact Isabella at: [email protected]
